We were down a delivery driver. Which means there is the boss and myself, to take your order, cook, and deliver your food, and there is that whole cleaning up thing we do too. I'm helping plan a wedding for my friend and we had a meeting at 11am yesterday morning, so by 2 am when we have two deliveries come in at the same time and people coming in from the nearby bars, I'm exhausted and really don't want to deal with drunk people. I opt to take the deliveries.
So after flying through a couple orders to help the boss not be swamped while I was gone, I through the deliveries in my car, turned on my country music and enjoyed the few moments of "quiet" by myself. Finished the first order pretty easily even though part of the apartment number is missing. >.< and then I'm off to the next, as I look at the map on my phone, I find out this second apartment is not easy to get to. So I have to actually park my car and walk to the center of the apartment complex. Just what I want to do at 2 am. NOT! So park, get the order together, phone, lock the car, and I'm on my way. Find the building and there are four apartments on each side so I'm standing in front of apartment 205 and 206 so I'm thinking the other corner has to be 207 and 208. I walk to the other side looking for apartment 202.
As I turn the corner I see the moon, gorgeous! I have a love for the moon, the moon and the ocean have heard and witnessed many tears and heartache that I would never let a person see. So the moon always reminds me of where I've come from and gives me hope of where I want to be someday.
So I was completely distracted with the moon but I have now been to both corners of that other side of the building and they weren't apartment 202 either, sigh, I went around to the other side when I didn't have too. So I turn to walk around the other side of the building (now circling the building) and all of sudden I hear the honk of a goose. SHREEEK! Not only did it startle me, but I am scare of birds. I know its a retarded fear but they scare me, no idea why. It was within arms reach, panic attack, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god." So I pretty much ran (fast walking because I had a pizza in my hand) around the way I came from so I didn't actually have to walk past the goose. Once I was in front of apartments 205 and 206 again I started laughing hysterically. Any one who happened to be awake and watching on, probably got a great laugh oout it. Thankfully it was 2 am and no one was out except the gorgeous moon. But now you all know, and you can have a laugh at my expense.
